With For the Future, we built a central hub for local, youth-led climate action.
For the Future is a sustainability NGO working across the Philippines, visiting local communities to document their stories and inspiring youth to take climate action.
With Studio Bisita, I led the web design and development of their website, optimised for donations and scalable for their growing archive of projects, stories, and community updates.

PROBLEM
A growing organisation that had outgrown its previous website
For the Future had been growing with more collaborations and sponsorships, but their website hadn't kept up. It didn't reflect their brand personality, and their stories and project updates were scattered across social media, getting lost in the feed.
As they moved toward building a more sustainable funding structure, they needed one central place where supporters could follow their work and donate without friction.

For the Future began with a group of friends spent the day in the ancestral lands of the Yangil Tribe in Zambales.

For the Future’s vision is a Philippines where nature is conserved & communities are empowered

they visit local communities in the philippines to document their stories and co-create programs to reforest lands and support climate affected communities.

while inspiring the youth to be storytellers, advocates and changemakers

their website needed a refresh to create accessible avenues to donate and take action
OUTCOME 01
A home for every story and project update
We built a central archive connecting every project to its related stories and community updates, making it easy for the team to share progress and for supporters to follow along.

A real-time Instagram integration keeps the site connected to their social presence without duplicating the work.
OUTCOME 02
Making donating as easy as possible
Donations were previously collected through personal GCash accounts and public bank transfers, creating friction for supporters and security risks for the team. We integrated Paymongo directly into the website, making it easy to donate once or subscribe monthly, and connecting donations directly to the projects and communities they support.
Simple, transparent, and built for anyone who wants to help.

The Donate page includes a map of the communities For the Future works with and a link to a transparency report, giving supporters full visibility into where their money goes.

OUTCOME 03
Designed around For the Future's youthful personality
The design took cues from illustration styles by Issa Barte, FTF's co-founder, bringing their Instagram personality into the website.
Custom illustrations, marquee stickers, and subtle hover and drag interactions gave the site a playful, distinctly Filipino energy that felt true to the community they're building.

REFLECTIONS
What this project taught me
This was a personal case study of design as a tool for regenerative futures, and giving back to my Filipino Culture.
For the Future was an organization that I would hear about throughout my research, and I remember listing them down as someone I would want to work with one day. And so it was such a perfect culmination of our values when For the Future reached out to us to collaborate on reconstructing their webhome.
